  Data Directories

The China Argo data and global Argo data are stored in two different collections:
1) Directory china\float id\contains All China Argo floats' metadata, profiles data in NetCDF format and ASCII format

All data are from CSOI, updated every month, quality controlled and salinity calibrated by CADC.

2) Directory global\ocean basin\year\month\day\contains global multi-profile files in ASCII format

All data are from Ifremer, updated every day, quality controlled by CADC

  ASCII format

Defined by CADC and based on NetCDF.

The China Argo Data Center (CADC) is hosted and operated by the NMDIS (National Marine Data & Information Service). Since its setup in Nov. 2002, the following work has been accomplished:
1) Integrated operational workflow;
2) Global Argo real-time data processing system;. 

3) Metadata database, deployment database and profile database, etc.
3) Automatic generation of the specific datasets in accordance with the requirements of users; 
4) On- line data service;
5) On-line Argo data products: floats' trajectories maps, waterfall maps, T-S diagrams maps, and temperature and salinity horizontal distribution maps;
6) Calibrated Chinese Argo floats salinity data.
